I ed around when I was still preggo and most the daycares in my area are at least $ / week. Of course, they take taxes out of your paycheck, you have to pay gas, car maintence, etc. Then there's the fact that we have a $ /month payment that's going unpaid right now, groceries are at least $ /month, car is $ /month plus whatever insurance is, rent is $ /month, etc. You don't know what all bills that I do or don't have. And sorry, but something is not always better than nothing. I can't just tell my landlord- Oh, I'm sorry, but I can only afford $ this month, since I am only making $10/an hour and I have daycare expenses. And they repossess your car if you don't pay your payment in full- I know, because it's happened to me. So, while I your point that those bills are not getting paid by my not working, it still doesn't justify getting just any job for me. Because I am not going to go through all the work of getting the job, putting my in daycare, driving to/from work every day, etc. if I STILL CAN'T PAY MY BILLS! My "assumptions" are based on what I have heard on the news, and other reputable sources. And as far as what you think you "know" about my experience in daycare, you're wrong. I have over 10 years experience volunteering on an as-needed basis at a local daycare, owned by a friend of the family. I also have 2 relatives who own their own in-home childcare centers, and friends who do in home daycare as well. So I feel that I do know what I am talking about. Why am I not taking my to any of these places? Simple. None of them have any openings right now. If they did, I wouldn't be in this predicament. But since they can only have so at once, I don't expect them to break the law for me. Or get rid of that they already have for me, because that wouldn't be fair. You know nothing about me and what I "can" or "can't" or "-" or "won't" do.
